I have noticed that at my Goodwill there are shoppers who try to "hide" items.
Look-y what I found ...
An Army green solid wood chair with a faux leather seat.
Nice no?
Actually, I liked the lines ...
Someone had it hidden in the carpet section. Sillies !!!
Do they not know that I HUNT when I'm there and when I find a bargain
welp, at $7.99 it's MINE !!!
Back to the chair ~
I had seen on Michele Raven Designs site a chair that I wanted to try and recreate
and when I saw this green monster, I knew it would look perfect.
I started by sanding then priming ...
The next to go was the lovely faux black leather.
The 80's called, they want their leather back, lol.
But look ... 2 LAYERS OF FABRIC !!!
Can you say ewww ???
Luckily, the stuffing on the chair was in good condition : )
After recovering it with a unbleached cotton ...
Using my scrapbook stamps, fabric paint
and re-attaching it to the chair
this is how it turned out ...
So much better!!!
It went from a monster to a prince : )
Feb 14, 1998 is my anniversary : )
Thanks for stopping by ~
