Hey ya'all ... I will be straight up and tell you that this is a different kind of review but I felt it HAD to be reviewed. Today while reading the numerous cooking blogs I read, I stumbled on anniebakes and Annie CAN bake. Her site is SO much fun to read I joined immediately.
While scanning threw her recipes, I came across her Sugar Donut Muffins. Right away I knew I MUST make these. I had all the ingredients on hand. Actually the ingredients are pretty basic.
3/4 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup milk (low fat is fine)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar, for topping
** I added some freshly grated nutmeg in the batter and cinnamon in the sugar topping.
So, after dinner I whipped these lil' puppies up.
And let me say they are AMAZING. They reminded me of bite-sized coffee cakes so I had em' with a hot cup of joe ...
I have to send special thanks to Annie for posting such a yummy treat.

If you make em' let me know what ya think of them ... : )
