It has dawned on me that in 4 days I have to take all my Halloween decorations down. Oh sure, I could leave them up but in my opinion, Santa, Christmas trees, bats and skulls don't really mix too well. I never remember seeing them together in any Southern Living magazine.
But .... this year's decorations were so much fun.
I loved the way everything came together.
The leaves are dried leaves I picked up at Publix on sale ($1.99) adorned with a black spider, of course. A wooden candle holder from Goodwill and the amber glass jars are actually covers from a old track light.
The 2 heads and tombstone are from the Dollar Store. I just painted them white and glazed them. A trick I picked up from Room to Inspire. I LOVE the way they turned out. And the tiny pumpkin is a candle holder from Goodwill. Gotta love the Goodwill ....
Don't ya love the dried Rosemary branch that I spray painted black? Spray paint is a God-send. I really think the blue lighter just SCREAMS Halloween, lol.
This little table was probably my favorite of all my decorations. So simple ...
I love how there was black in everything on the table. I especially love the book. I took a small photo album and covered it with a brown paper bag then wrote "Spells N' Potions 2nd Witch's Edition". It needed something a little more so I just wrapped a ribbon around it and tucked the ends inside. Brilliant if I do say so myself.
Then on the other side of the room, my "display" table as I so happily call it. I just re-finished this baby and couldn't wait to decorate it.
The haunting bat picture was just printed from The Graphics Fairy. I am such a sucker for EVERYTHING on her site. Just amazing.
Ok, back to my "display". The 3 lil' guys were given to me by a dear family friend and I picked up the sign behind them at a garage sale for a whole quarter. SWEET!
I'm proud of these. I made them all from hurricane glasses and candle holders from the Dollar Store. Oh, the big one in the back is made the same way but I picked it up at Goodwill and just added a candle holder to it. They have cheap candles in them and popcorn. Get it popcorn ... corn ... autumn?
This beauty is just a chippy weathered light I found at a salvage yard for $5. I just put it on a wooden cake stand and tied some black wool strips around it. Looks so pretty when the candle is lit.
This lil' table scape is between my couch and chair. Mr. Bunny looks very dignified, doesn't he?
This is the table when you first come into my house. You can't see my lil' "EEK" sign : (
I think I'm gonna be spray painting the lamp soon. What do you think?
Ghosty watches over the bingo balls. Keeping his heavy chain close by.
I'm so sad to see it all go. But just imagine how fun it will be to put up Christmas goodies : )
Thanks so much for stopping by ....
