Don't Call This Big Boy Susan

Howdy ya'all ...
I wanted to first say thank you for all the sweet
comments you guys left me on my lil' locker basket.
It was fun to read just how many of you guys said you were
gonna make one for yourself. I'm now on the
look out for the perfect number plate for the front of mine.
I was thrilled to know that I could help save you guys some money : )
Yesterday, while I was at Goodwill, I found this BIG boy
I know he looks like a pizza board but he's actually a lazy Susan ...
would that mean he's a she?
He was only $3.99. Not real wood but very wood like.
I thought he would look perfect on my dining room table.
I originally wanted to keep him natural but
after I sanded and cleaned him with TSP, he didn't look that good.
So, he got a couple coats of Martha Stewart's Driftwood Gray
Ahhh, so much better : )
A lil' sanding and some Ralph Lauren glaze in Tobacco
and he's ready for some purdy'ing up
I found this graphic online a LONG time ago and have been
holding onto it for the perfect project.
I just enlarged it to 11"x 11", printed it in 4 part sections
measuring 5.5"x 5.5" then taped them all together.
I then took a brown colored pencil and colored the back of the graphic.
Traced everything ... and was ready for painting.
To paint everything, I used a brown craft paint slightly watered down.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE how it turned out.
Now he sits proudly on my table.
I wanted to get him ready for his photoshoot but
 I just don't wanna cover him up ; )
