My Bedside Table Goes French

Howdy ya'all ...
I found these pictures on my computer and
I've been meaning to post this table for some time now
When I found it at a church's rummage sale
it didn't have a price tag on it so of course
I thought it was gonna be WAY over priced
So I grabbed it and headed to the counter
When the girl said $5, I paid immediately.
Yeah, it had some damage
and the legs were wobbly but I knew I could fix it.
I used some Gorilla glued along with some bungee cords to stabilize the legs and
after a couple days started on my magic with some primer
followed by some Heirloom White paint.
What a difference a little bit of white primer & some paint makes.

A little bit of shabby-ing up and some Ralph Lauren Glaze in Smoke
And it's ready to be displayed ...
I love the serenity of it ...

What a find. You must have been jumping up and down when the person told you it was 5 bucks. Lucky! Nice job finishing it off too. Did you use an electric sander or sandpaper to shabby it up?

Hi! I saw your post over at "Primp" party. Love your table and how you transformed it. I'm like you when someone gives me an unbelieveable price...pay and get out before somebody changes their mind on the price.

What a great deal, and beautiful makeover! I love what you did to this table! I have an old table with the same damage as yours...cracked and peeled veneer. (I think it's veneer??) Did you repair yours or leave as is? I'm wondering how to fix mine. Your table is gorgeous! Thank you.

Lovely. Were you able to do anything with the damage, ie. Wood putty?
