My Free Faux Deer Head

Good morning everybody.

 I've come to the conclusion that Pinterest

is the best (AND worse) website that I've found.

 Let me explain ...

 I see a picture like this

And then all of a sudden it's all I think about.

 I MUST have a faux deer head.

 But, I'm not gonna shell out the money to buy one.

So what's a girl to do?

 Why make one of course.

 I was given a wire lighted deer from my mom

 that worked but was REALLY rusted.

  A perfect victim.

 No money spent : )

I started by removing the lights then the head.

Vixen & Milo even helped supervise.

 Cleaned it a little, then spray painted it flat black.

 Then I wrapped it with jute twine leaving the antlers.

I attached it to the wall using an "L" bracket that I spray painted black

I think it looks pretty good above my free palette shelf.

 Not too shabby for free : )
