This Weekend's Junkin' Finds #5

G' morning ya'all ....

How was your weekend?

I spent mine junkin' and watching as many Oscar nominated movies as I could

preparing myself for the big night.

Although I loved The Artist

My heart belonged to Hugo

What a visually beautiful movie and a GREAT story.

I really enjoyed ALL the movies nominated.

The one movie that surprised me was The Tree of Life.

I would say it probably was one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen.

The story was very deep but definitely a feast for the eyes.

Ok, onto my junkin' finds this week.

I gotta warn ya, there's ALOT this week and for such a small amount of money

First I picked up this chair and picture.

I spent more than I would have wanted to for the chair, $20 but I 

liked it. Didn't think it needed to be refinished and had the perfect spot for it.

Also, the picture was only $2 so the chair's price didn't  bother me too much.

Thinking I might lighten the frame a bit but I'm liking the picture.

Next was this antique mirror for $1. Yup, Une Doh-lar. Can ya stand it?

Don't cha love the aging that's happening?

Can you see the cool bevel design around the perimeter?

I was given this lil' horsie statue. The woman was throwing it away.

I'm thinking of spraying it a high gloss white.

These were only $2. 

A cute wire planter for $1

A HEAVY cement planter with SHA-WEET patina for 2 bucks.

 A cool vintage bucket ($1), a small set of drawers ($1), a wooden/wire box ($1),

a sculpture (another free piece), 15 wooden cup handles ($2), a vintage clamp light ($1)

and some odds n' ends for $.25 - $.50 a piece

 A box of vintage silverware for $3

 Check out the design. Purdy huh?

Lovin' this Royal Tudor Ware plate I found at an Amish yard sale for $.25.

It was one of those pay and run buys ; )

Along with this Booths bowl for $.50.

SOOOO pretty!!!

And this set of Johnson Brothers Ironstone for $2.

At Goodwill I found this cool ammo box for $2.

No idea why I love them so much but I will always buy these as well as old metal tool boxes.

The deal of the day was this antique headboard and footboard I found for get this ....

TEN DOLLARS !!!!

Isn't it BE-UT-I-FUL !!!!!!

Oh yeah, I also picked up a vintage runner, bunch of shims and a cool vintage reddish/brown lantern

for $2. Thought I took pictures of em' but you can see them in with everything.

 So, yeah it was a good junkin' day.
